Business Delegation Visits Quality Village and Ethiopian Export Products Exhibition Center

The delegation from the 3rd Africa Trade and Investment Summit (ATIS) visited the Quality Village and Ethiopian Export Products Exhibition Center at the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration. They were warmly welcomed by H.E. Endalew Mekonnen and H.E. Yasmin Wohabrabbi, State Ministers, along with other officials, who expressed enthusiasm for showcasing Ethiopia's commitment to quality and innovation in trade.

 

The delegation began their visit at the Quality Village, a hub for all standardization processes. Here, they learned about the rigorous quality control measures and certifications that ensure Ethiopian products meet international standards. This experience underscored the government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of goods produced in the country, fostering consumer confidence both locally and globally.

 

Following this, the delegation toured the Ethiopian Export Products Exhibition Center, where they explored a wide array of products crafted in Ethiopia. They examined offerings from various sectors, including textiles, handicrafts, and agricultural products, gaining insight into the nation’s export potential and the creativity of local artisans and manufacturers.

 

During the visit, Mr. Abdinasir Turky, Chairman and CEO of the Investment Center of Africa (ICOA), extended his deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration for their collaboration in co-organizing the event. He highlighted the importance of such partnerships in promoting Ethiopia's trade landscape.

 

Discussions also focused on future collaboration and various business opportunities available for investors. Both the delegation and the state ministers expressed optimism about leveraging Ethiopia's quality standards and innovative products to attract foreign investment and enhance the country's export capabilities.

 

Overall, the visit reinforced the significance of quality in trade and opened new avenues for cooperation, leaving the delegation inspired by the potential for growth within Ethiopia's vibrant market.
