The 3rd Africa Trade and Investment Summit

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The 3rd Africa Trade and Investment Summit held on July 21-22, 2025, at the Inter Luxury Hotel, concluded with great success, uniting Ambassadors, Ministers, CEOs, and business leaders from Ethiopia, India, China, Zambia, Turkiye, Somalia, Kenya, Algeria, Romania, and more.

Attendees included a diverse group of influential stakeholders such as Ambassadors, government officials, corporate executives, and representatives from multinational companies. This gathering provided a unique platform for collaboration, enabling participants to engage in high-level discussions and explore investment opportunities across various sectors.

The summit featured a variety of programs, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and extensive networking opportunities, fostering partnerships across multiple sectors. The event was officially opened by Mr. Abdinasir Turky, Chairman and CEO of the Investment Center of Africa (ICOA), alongside H.E. Dr. Abdulhakim Mulu, State Minister of the Ethiopian Trade and Regional Integration (MOTRI).

  • Keynote Speeches:

    • H.E. Anil Kumar Rai, Ambassador of the Indian Embassy, presented "India-Africa: Collaborating for Mutual Growth."

    • H.E. Sun Mingxi, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia, discussed "China's Role in African Trade."

    • H.E. Rose K. Sakala, Ambassador of Zambia, shared insights on "Zambian Business Opportunities."

    • Mr. Dawit Woldemariam, representative from the Ethiopian Investment Commission, provided an overview of "Ethiopia's Investment Landscape."

 

  • Business Spotlight Program:
    Featured representatives from various organizations, including:

  • Launch of New Project:
    The summit also marked the launch of Milkavia, a new project powered by the Investment Center of Africa, aimed at enhancing agricultural investments and promoting food security across the continent.

 

  • Closing Remarks:
    The event concluded with closing remarks by Hon. Amb. Dina Mufti, Former Spokesperson of the MFA of Ethiopia and Advisor to the Investment Center of Africa (ICOA). The program was expertly moderated by Ms. Mihret Teshome, who guided the proceedings throughout the summit.
